Pinheiro Machado is a firm dedicated to providing financial advisory services to the commodities, agribusiness, energy and infrastructure markets in an extremely personalised way. We connect Brazilian agribusiness to international financial markets and intermediate the physical origination of commodities for global markets. We also have expertise with designing defensive positions, through hedge operations and the hiring of specialised insurance.

WHAT WE DO

We help companies and investors to structure operations and form international partnerships. Our role as advisors is mainly in the strategic area, creating specific solutions for each client. We develop the entire strategic cycle in investment projects, capital markets operations and mergers and acquisitions processes, including all stages of assessment, product structuring, legal due diligence, tax aspects and placing on the market.

We also act as an independent over-the-counter broking house. We specialise in providing the full-service of local origination of physical commodities,

from finding the required products and negotiating the contracts to arranging logistics and financing to the operation.

We have the highest levels of expertise in designing defensive positions, such as hedge and insurance, in order to enhance the security of our clients in their businesses and investments.

Our strategic location in South Brazil gives us direct access to a network of local producers of, among others, soya, cotton, corn, meat, wood, pork, chicken, sugar, rice and coffee. Our relationships also extend to the other areas of South America, allowing the potential to originate also metals such as iron ore, copper, silver etc.

As an intermediary, we do not take principal positions. Our expertise and close relationships with our customers, allows us to arrange the best terms that are mutually beneficial to both buyer and seller.
